What is Socapex?
Socapex is a type of connection that is used in the lighting and theatre world for the benefit of carrying multiple power cores through one cable. Socapex uses a 19 Pin Connector, with 6 lots of 3 core, single phase lines and a single pilot pin. This allows for connection to multiple lighting fixtures, such as a rig of stage lights, with just this single line of cable.
Why use Socapex?
Socapex takes 6 typically individual, and tangled lines of power, and wraps them into one convenient, un-entangled run of cable. Whether you’re a professional lighting technician or stage production assistant, Socapex offers a range of benefits that make them the go-to choice for many in the industry.
One of the key benefits of Socapex connectors is their versatility. With a range of different extensions, from 5 to 50 metre cables in 1.5mm² and 2.5mm² cores, we can supply as standard or with the moulded, evergrip thermoplastic for superior strain relief. We also have fan-in or fan-out (breakin/out) lines and adaptor boxes, so you can easily connect multiple devices to your power source, allowing you to create a truly dynamic lighting set-up.
Another advantage of Socapex is its durability. Built to withstand the rigors of constant use, these leads and connectors are designed to last, making them a cost-effective investment for anyone in the industry.
